Overview
    Poland is a great country located between Germany, and Russia. In the country speaks polish. Poland has gone through many rough times in the 19th centry. World War ll had the most effect on them. But this year the polish team is exceptional. Recruting Emmanuel Oilsadebe from nigeria was a great move. Oilsadebe has scored 8 goals in his 9 appearences. "The country is gald to have him" says poland prime minister. This pooland team may give hope to the stuggling country of poland.
History
    Poland gained its independence in 1918 only to be overrun by Germany and the Soviet Union in World War II. It became a Soviet satellite country following the war, but one that was comparatively tolerant and progressive. The jews of the country suffered severly. Most of the jews were killed in the concentration camps. Labor turmoil in 1980 led to the formation of the independent trade union "Solidarity" that over time became a political force and by 1990 had swept parliamentary elections and the presidency. A "shock therapy" program during the early 1990s enabled the country to transform its economy into one of the most robust in Central Europe, boosting hopes for acceptance to the EU. Poland joined the NATO alliance in 1999.

      Not too long ago Poland was the top soccer team in the world. But, this year there chances arent that great. Poland says coach Engel Jerzy says " they are just happy to be in the torniment". Poland is not going down without a fight. Recently poland layed their eyes on 18 year old Nigerian born Emmanuel Oilsadebe. After rushing through citizenship Oilsadebe eventually got to play in the qualifying round and scored a whooping 10 goals. Also in the spot light goal keeper Jerzy Dudek. Dudek recently sprained his knee and was out for a couple of games. Now he feels like he is able to play and lead his team to victory. Dudek is one of the best goalies in the world. He played in the england club team (Liverpool) and was said to be the best in the league. He is a hue threat to the rest of the world cup qualifiers. To end this team smmary, I think poland will be very affective in the world cup. Especially with Dudek between the posts and Olisadebe kicking a ball in between the opposing posts.
