Overview
The people of Costa Rica are the best people ever. They are some of the most friendly people you will meet. Soccer is one if the major sports. Costa Ricans take the game very seriously like American take football or baseball. Costa Rica is beautiful all year round and a great place to visit for a both cultural and fun experince. The food is great and the fiestas are awsome.

History
The very first president of Costa Rica was Juan Rafeal Mora. He encouraged the economic development that hepled things a lot in Costa Rica. Juan returned to play a role in the war against Nicaragua. Costa Rica suffered more then any other country in Central America. They were under oligarchy for a period of time. The next president was Soto who brought a development to make Costa Rica one of the most literate countries in Latin America. Costa Rica had more school teachers then soldiers at one time. In 1908 Ascension Esquivel is a compromise between two parties : democratic and constitutional government that characterized Costa Rica. They were much more together then any other country around them. They also had a president that was under communist and his name was Calderon. 1962-1966 Francisco Orlich took over. San Jose was surrounded by coffee plantations. Henry Meiggs Keith laid out the banana plantations that eventually spread far throughout Central America. The ventures extended into Guatemala , El Salvador, and Honduras. Coffee is Costa Rica's biggest crop in the country.

World Cup Information

Coach Milutinovic lead coasta Rica to the quarter finals of the 1990 FIFA world cup against Italy. The captain of Italy was Guimaraes he is one of the toughest coaches in the leauge. Costa Rica doesn't do well under pressure so quick counter-attacks from China could be a bad thing for the team.Coasta Rica has besome a powerful and offensive force. Alexandre Guimaraes has a bad attitude towards his team playing in the game. The team has poor preporation. Costa Ricas' strong point in the game is defending the goal.
