Overview
Belgium is a small country in Northwestern Europe borders france the netherlands and germany. A narrow strip separates of north sea separates Belgium and great britain., Belgium is an important european industrial and a Rae center Belgium location has made it a battle ground for warring anions. In Belgium there are rich architechual and artictic heritage. In belguim there are two different groups there are the flemings who speak dutch and there are the wallons who speak french . In belguim there are many statly building and chruches that are erected that have been there for years because belguim keeps its history.

History
Belgium suffered great ditruction during tThe worldwarI between 1914 through 1918 and in world warII between 1939 to 1945. Ever since world warI belgiium has played a leading role in economics and politics in the economic union of belgium the Netherlands and the luxembourg is the headquarters for the european Union and the north Atlantic treaty Organization (NATO). The futurristic scupyure called Atomiun symbol of the 1958 belgain World's fair also represented belguim's new position in the 1900's.On a local level belgium is divided into nine provinces each of them is headed by governor and a council. Belgium is also divided into three cultural communities Which are the flemings and germans and Wallons the economic regions are flanders, wallonia and the brussels.

Belgium gained its independence in 1830 from the netherlands then belgium was govered by many different foreign rulers in 1831 belgium adoped
a constitutional monarchy the king has little power it lies in the hands of the prime ministers. In the cabinet the Council of minisers which are equal
numbers of both dutch and french speaking members And the prime minister holds office as long as belgium's two house pariliment lasts About the
flemmings and wallons they both have sometimes borded on cival war the conflict divides the whole counrty are both politically and economically

ulation of belgium the two groups are seperated and do not mix they after belgium gained independence they gave the wallons a nwe nations official language then the fleming got upset and in 1800 the flemings won a reconition of dutch as the nation secound offical language in france In the 1900 each group sought to advance its own economic and cultural interest
