Special Topics after 1945

What historically important events have happened in the world after 1945?  Which people living during the last century had the greatest impact?  How do people live in different countries around the world?

For the last two weeks of the 2000-2001 school year, students in my world history classes examined these questions, developed their own questions, and created webpages to reflect their findings.  For most of these ninth graders, this was their first time making a webpage; so in addition to the end of the year, summer-time distractions (which, I'm happy to honestly say, the students ignored in the enthusiasm for the project), students had to overcome a technological obstacle.

Most students completed their pages with Netscape Composer (4.7) or Microsoft Word 98.  Students utilized 10 iMacs, a single Zip Drive, and storage space on idrive.com.

Explore their questions below, and let me know what you think.
