       With only 12 percent of the with population urbanized, most ethiopians live in scattered rural communities. In order to reduce traveling distance homesteads are generally scattered to be near farm plots. Buildings vary between circular and rectangular  styles and are constructed of materials readily are found within the environment. Roots are mostly thatched, although some well-to-do farmers opt for corrugated steel tops.
    The sports of medieval times were less well organized. Fairs and seasonal festivals were occasions for men to lift stones or sacks of grain and for women to run smocks races (for a smock,
not in one). The favorite sport of the folk is football a wild sort no-holds-barred unbounded.

   Vocal liturgical music of the Ethiopian orthodox christians in east africa. A musical notation for ethiopian chant introduced in the 16th century is called Melekket and consists of characters from the ancient Ethiopians language, Ge'ez, in which each sign stands for a syllable of text.
